IMO the best way to empty your deck with Mirror-Mad Phantasm is to copy him, and then activate the copy's ability. If you only have one Phantasm in our deck, the search will fail and you'll mill yourself completely. I also use spellskite for protection and birthing pod as a tutor so I can afford to run only one.
