M12 had some ramp with birds and lw elves also there are artifacts like sphere of the suns.

you could drop 2 forest for 2 sheltering wind if people targeting your hydra becomes a problem ( gains life and give creature hexproof till end of turn)
Or for a cheaper alternative, ranger's guile. Sure no life gain, but it's a cheaper spell and can give a crucial +1/1
thank you for all the great advice, however i dont want to ad anything to the deck that would have to be taken out in october when RTR comes out. trying to keep the deck post rotation standard.
What about changing some Deadly Recluse for Elderscale Wurms? You can fetch them with Mwonvuli Beast Tracker and they already have trample.
i tried that. however i found the primordial hydras are best suited for combat, where as the deadly recluse is great for removal.

llonwar elves is good with the other elves, can get 6cmc critters out on turn 4. may want rangers guile or something to make your hydras hexproof so they dont get snagged o targeted by some destructable spell
