Not the turn you use it, since he'll have summoning sickness when he comes back out. It's more of a tactical decision. Is my opponent in a tight spot, not running a burn deck, and is unlikely to get out any reach/flying blockers? Insectile Abberation and Mirror-Mad Phantasm can make quick work of him. Do they have any of the above? If they do, then I'll just mill myself and try to get as many lab maniacs as I can in case they try to be funny and kill my only one last minute. That's why there's 4 of him.

I get out Lab Maniac, and use Mirror-Mad Phantasm, Increasing Confusion, etc. to mill myself. If I mill myself and have no lab maniac I have retrieval spells to get him back and out onto the field so I can get the win. Or I can always swing with Mirror-Mad Phantasm if you've got no flying or reach blockers.

Never understood the random Verdant Catacombs in there. It'd be much more useful if they just made it 24 swamps. >.>

If the deck can be effective with this much, then it's not too many cards. Unless you've played with the exact deck yourself, you can't know that for sure.

And on that note, in the future, I suggest you read each card and its effects beforehand. I made sure I had adequate discards, and others on my sideboard if a deck was anti-creature-intensive and I couldn't get my Spectres through.

Look at the creatures. Also, Duress is in the sideboard at any time to switch. This deck is for modern, so Hymn to Tourach is a no go. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

I like it! Etched Champion and Etherium Sculptor are two of my favorite artifact creatures, and you can never go wrong with Memnites and Mox Opals. Nice job buddy!

Thanks man! A friend showed me Past in Flames (hadn't seen it before, somehow o.O) and he gave me the idea to build this deck and helped with suggestions and all that.

I can't believe I missed the Galvanizer/Palladium combo. *sigh* One of my friends I play every week does that combo with his myr deck whenever he gets the chance, so I feel silly for forgetting about it. Thanks for reminding me!

Thanks man! And yeah, this is one of my just for fun decks. I'd never play this seriously, just for messing around with friends or something. It's a "what if" deck honestly, and it's one of the last on my build list, it's just a fun deck idea I had.
