Designed to counter as much as possible in the early game then take control of everything by bringing out an Enchanted Evening and then sacrificing an Aura Theif. The sry and draw cards helps push through the deck and get the necessary things in hand. While cards like Perilous Research and Barrin, Master Wizard make it easier to get rid of Aura Thief or Academy Rector. Couple this with the Isochron Scepters and various 2CC spells it makes for an interesting desk to play.

Since you want to go the route of counter, perhaps you could implement more 2 CC counters that will sit on the Isochron, Mana Leak for example. Otherwise, acceleration is what you need here. Sol Ring would fit nicely with the Isochron. In the land department, consider some duals or fetch lands so that you don't get hosed on mana too early; Saprazzan Skerry can also net you some extra mana early on. If you intend on keeping white, Swords to Plowshares would be a great add to give you some removal when you're in a pinch. I think you're right Cancel was a poor choice so have swapped it out for a couple of mana leaks and Dawn Charms. Sol Ring would be good but so far I haven't had too many problems with mana so have left it out and Saprazzan Skerrys used to be a favourite of mine by was swayed towards Azorius Chancery since you get two mana without having to remove counters. Swords to Plowshares is nice but I don't like giving people life but could add it to the sideboard. Thanks for your input. Will make sure to take a look at your desks.
