Would love to see how this deck fares against a deck that requires no land: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=325974

Glimpse the Unthinkable is a sorcery, Isochron scepter can only imprint an instant card.
Scepters work best with the kamigawa arcane cards. Copy & Splice

I'm a big fan of the Sigil of sleep, Warped Devotion, megrim combo. pop that on a prodigal sorcerer and you can ping the enemies away mean against indestructible decks..

In a straight mill deck, Millstone is always a must.

The Mana curve is far too high, you need to hit the sweet spot of CMC 3 and make that a third of your deck

unless they have changed the rules recently most tournaments are 60 card minimum, but casual play has a 40 card minimum

Denizen of the Deep 11/11.
or Krosan Cloudscraper 13/13
or Ludevic’s Abomination 13/13
or Withengar Unbound 13/13

would all put you ahead quite nicely.
but a first turn win is next to impossible under current rulings with that combo.

as of 2008 and gatherer (the newer version of oracle): The ability that has you shuffle Serra Avatar into your library is now a triggered ability. This means that other abilities which would trigger on the Avatar being put into a graveyard will also trigger.

However, a change of zone doesnt affect the "Shuffle it back into the library" as it targets the avatar regardless of its zone, it only has to enter the graveyard and it will trigger. so you may get it into play, then its own ability resolves then you shuffle it back.

Best you could do is turn 3 with a Fling. making it a R/B/W deck

I saw someone win an auction for one at gencon, then on the stage tore it up and ate it. that was close to 10 years ago and i think it was about £450 they paid for it.

you are 20ish years late with this list. Back in Alpha and Beta you could get away with multiple cards.
but even in casual play, the rule is maximum 4 of each card. as that is a Basic Rule.
