You have a lot of colorless costs in your deck though, so while you aren't running Ancient Tomb, Temple of the False God is a nice additive. Since this deck does not have anything banned by the French list, you could add Griselbrand to the list, then its a great deck for 1v1

Perhaps some Harrow, Cultivate and Rampant Growth to get more lands out for Dungrove?

Also since a majority of stuff has some sort of evasion, perhaps Aspect of Hydra?

The Spreading Seas is usually more optimal than Aquitects, lowers the curve, and you already have 2 lords granting Island Walk to all Merfolk as apposed to just one, also Aquitects has to live for six turns before he equals the true effectiveness of a Spreading Seas and in that time he also never gives a lord bonus to another merfolk.

But with a beat down strategy where he is just playing Merfolk after Merfolk after Merfolk, it may still be better to run Aquitect....

Deck Thinning is a myth it was proven by university math professor, the benefits of deck thinning dont actually happen until turn 8/9 which in legacy you are dead by... Now using them for mana fixing is obviously true, that cant be argued at all

Kaalia cant be in the deck because of her white mana, and Master wouldnt have a place because this deck offers him no evasion

No, because the rule was re-written before Wizards took over in 2011. It was also re-written before Wizards to allow any legendary that wasn't an Elder Dragon to be the general, but it was huge oversight to not think that generals with abilities not matching their color identities to exist. Bosh is extremely kick ass, we have two Bosh players here in town, and when they go at it, it's always an interesting match.

I am amazed at how many people don't know that the ability counts to the color identity of the general, if it didn't, Bosh is 100% unplayable as a general because his ability contradicts the old ruling, it was for cards like this and Bosh that the rule was re-written so that any legendary could be a commander. I have an excuse for not knowing how this deck was playable as I can't tell the symbols unless I'm holding the card, but seriously people :(

Just looking over the deck, I think you might want to put some 5+ power creatures in the deck that have a cmc of higher than 6, you have options so that ones that end up in your hand can be played obviously, but if everything that has a 5/X power has cmc of less than 6, you aren't getting full benefit of Mayael's ability.

Options: x1 Progenitus 10/10 this card is only a one of because though you have nuts mana production, you just can't hard cast him with his colour range, so he will only get played via ability.
X1 Worldspine Wurm 15/15 that gets cheated into play? yes please
X1 Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, 11/11, honestly, this guy is a win con all his own
