Deck Description

Just a random recipe that drifted pass my head.
My brain grew jaws and rows of teeth, snapped out and seized the stray recipe by the throat and digested it so that it can be formulated through words.

Devour is an interesting mechanic if you ask me. As I pondered on how a Red/Green deck would fit my play style, I experimented with Defenders (Crank that Mana Recipe), Ladies of the Wild (Basically a collection of tribal women), or just stick to the damned Gruul Clans??...

No! I prefer my creatures healthy, thus I encourage cannibalism!

How to Play

CREATURES!

Part 1 - THE FOOD SOURCE

Ant Queen - She gives birth to food supply for the entire deck! Not exactly, just the hungry ones.

Burning-Tree Emissary - It's kinda sad feeding a pretty lady to the creatures... but she served a good purpose of fixing the mana! In a way you can say that she can be cast for free, and provide a quick meal for the variety of predators.

Strangleroot Geist - He was hung, but in his afterlife he still have one purpose! Be the snack of Jund creatures! He can be ate twice, once for lunch and another for dinner!

Yeva, Nature's Herald - I won't really call her a food course since you won't want to kill her off for whatever reason. She lets your Jund Beasts come down for their meals without following the proper meal time of YOUR TURN.

Young Wolf - Another one that can be eaten twice. What makes a good food source? One that comes back with more flesh.

Lumberknot - Are your creatures Omnivores? Best not! Because Lumberknot is there to scavenge the dead for their nutrients that the beasts have gnawed to the bone. (Imagine its possibilities with tokens...)

Part 2 - THE CONSUMERS

Skullmulcher - I don't know why but I find this creatures pretty funny to look at.. Okay, never mind that, the most important thing about having Skullmulcher around is its 2nd ability, to eat and poop cards on your hand.

Gluttunous Slime - Without Yeva's special permission, this ooze flashes on its own accord (Sounds wrong). Good for sacrificing an about-to-die creature that counts as a block while having this jello enter the field for a high-five.

Thunder! Thunder! Thunder-Thrash! HOOOOOOO!!!! - Thunder-Thrash Elder is amazing mostly for its appetite and metabolism. Devour 3? You kidding me?!

ENCHANTMENTS!!

Death's Presence - Why eat alone? Get a friend to eat with you! Death's Presence makes the death of a creature worthwhile. Once a Consumer had its meal, another creature on the field will somehow... eat the same meal, but with more nutrients. Weird.

Goblin Assault - Funny little card. 3 drop enchantment that sends a 1/1 goblin onto the field ready to fight, with haste. Sent forth to die! But wait wait wait... This little goblin drafted to the field isn't really used resourcefully if it died in combat. The goblin can be a nice little snack! I'm sure Skullmulcher will be happy to poop the remnants.

Gutter Grime - Just when the Poop seems so stomach-wrenching, This Jello Generator brings forth a little friend that will invite a bigger friend each time a creature of yours die. It's just like the flavor text from Sanguine Bond (rephrased) - For every drumstick I devour, a chicken must be well done.

Ooze Flux - Gutter Grime is not generating fast enough? Aww man! You wish you could eat a portion of your fellow Devourers don't you? Here's the solution! Just remove +1/+1 counters and turn them into Ooze tokens for snacks! Totally not gross!

SORCERY

Caravan Vigil - Like I've said before many times, make the most out of deaths, if not, you can save yourself from Mana Screw too!

ARTIFACT

Gruul Keyrune - Each fine-dining restaurant needs a good little ornament to boost its consumer's appetite, I'm sure even the likes of Gruul and Jund will agree with that. (p.s. if your creatures are REALLY damn hungry, you can process this artifact into food for {R}{G}, though it's not advised)

DAT LAND!

Llanowar Reborn - In case you need the little boost on your creatures... Here is the solution.
