This one revolves around the Werewolves ability to reduce the toughness of blocking creatures. I use Vigor to prevent damage while pumping up my guys for aggro. Lesser Werewolf is especially nasty with any of the pump up effects as I can essentially put a -0/-2 counter on each blocking creature for each untapped swamp I have.

Get some dual lands. umm, what about Dark Ritual for speed? Midnight covenant is one of those cards i felt was over looked. It's great to see someone using it.

I really only play multiplayer free for all, so, If I'm crafty, I don't have to be fast. It's more like poker and less like chess at that point. Alhough, if it comes down to it, I'll probably do exactly as you suggested. I'd probably get rid of aspect of Mongoose for the Dark Rits.
