Deck Description

Barbies.

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE BALDUVIAN WARLORD!!! My friends have been known to let a guy through if he has Kusari-Gama equipped, so why not throw a blocker in front of him? It's not much, but it's better than nothing.

How often do you get the Oathkeeper / Ashes combo?

I haven't built this one yet, that's why.

Fair enough, wasn't sure what the payout would be for that combo with those quantities.

What I envisioned was that if an Ashes came up in the draw before I could play Godo, he could grab the Oathkeeper. Just a situational combo to take advantage of Godo. I was thinking of splashing black for Conspiracy but couldn't find a way to do it reliably.

Realized that I didn't have Magewright's Stone or baldvian Warlord and dropped Ashes of the Fallen, Lightning Greaves, and Oathkeeper.

Anyone have any ideas on how to abuse the Warlord?

Magewright's Stone is alright, but how about replacing them with Thousand-Year Elixir? You could then use the Warlords the turn they come into play, and untapping a creature that doesn't have an ability with T in the cost could prove occasionally useful.

What's with a 2/2 split of Shattering Spree and Pulse? IMO, the Spree is a better card for one-on-one games, as it's cheaper to destroy multiple artifacts and it's almost immune to countermagic.

To abuse the Warlord, I can't think of much in red. I had him in my deck, but I couldn't think of much outside of Tangle Asp, so I ended up removing him.

Anyway, nice deck!

I was mostly just going with cards that I had. I'll work on getting my hands on Elixir for sure, though.

I couldn't decide between Shattering Spree and Shattering Pulse. Buyback is WAY WAY WAY better, but way more expensive. Shattering Spree is cheaper, but I need multiple targets out at once to use it. I figured it really didn't matter (artifact destruction is an artifact destruction), and threw 2 and 2 in last time I tweaked the deck just to see what worked and liked it the way it was. I might change them out for Shatter in order to add some card drawing.

I just need ideas for things to do with Warlord other than take X creature blocking Y guy I have without first strike or trample and make him block Z guy that can take two creatures on. I needed more creatures, and Warlord is the only one with a decent ability. Maybe there just isn't anything to do with it... I might swap him for Taurean Mauler, but I just can't bring myself to use Changeling.

I meant Smash, not Shatter.
