Prepare to be flanked!

by RoughneckBarbarian on 06 January 2010

Main Deck (70 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Flanking and those that flank. Once you've flanked them, flank them again. Just flank. Then go flank yourself.

Flank.

I'm thinking about going all out and adding Sensei Golden-Tail and Takeno, Samurai General in place of Pentarch Paladin and Balefire Liege.

Deck discussion for Prepare to be flanked!

Why so many copies of Konda's Banner, Sidar Jabari, and Telim'Tor? Once you have one out, the rest are dead draws.

lol the artifacts with flanking seem useless...all of your cards except for 2 of them have flanking to begin with, so I don't really see the point

Flanking stacks, flanking plus flanking equals double flanking.

Kill spells exist, and those are very desirable targets.

Still, 4 copies? And most people don't run artifact kill.

Yup. And there are cards that remove abilities as well.

My circle does. Trust me.

As long as it doesn't change the name and haven't removed the supertype, you still can't play them.

Shut. Up. i know how my circle plays, I'm fine. Mirror Gallery exists. Be quiet. Things die or are required to be sacrificed. Thanks for playing, go elsewhere for gay banter.

As for removing abilities, i was referring to Lemonzest's post. Read a book.

So if you know it will work perfectly, why bother putting it up? The rest of us don't know your little group, so why be a dick when all I'm saying is how I normally see Magic played? Or is it you just want to show the world you can make a ton of decks? I used to enjoy your decks and how they worked, now you just seem like a dick.

Oh and adding Sensei Golden-Tail and Takeno would be stupid, as you said there are kill spells, dick.

Well damn, dude. Sorry I blew up. It's just that people going on and on about legend rules and not having enough mana is really getting old. I'm a better player than that. I look at Magic like I do poker. Me knowing I have a Legend in my hand doesn't mean my opponent knows what it is. For all he knows, it's a Holy Day or Wrath of God. Half of Magic for me is making them try to take into account what I know. I've been known to keep a land in my hand for a turn or two just so I can look at one of my friends as he attacks and say, "Are ya SURE about that...?"

I'm not saying it will work perfectly when I post it. I'm saying it's my idea that I'm going to fool around with to see if I even like the deck. That's what I do. Build a deck, play it, and keep it together if I like it. If not, I take it apart. Want to know why I have 4 of each legend? I'll explain instead of being rude:

The average power/toughness in this deck is 2.26/2.71, the highest being a 3/3 or 2/4 (depending on how you're looking at it). Puny. I don't know about you guys, but in any given game, come 5th turn, I'm looking at at least 4 creatures power 4 or better under my opponents' control. The legends are there to take advantage of Konda's Banner to pump up EVERYONE I have, not just one guy. Coat of Arms would be nice, but there are better tribal decks that would benefit from me playing it more than I would. I'd rather a few of the other guy's creatures +1/+1 than all of them +20/+20.

IF mana is such a problem, why not run Urza's Incubator? Every creature there is a Knight and the Incubators stack, which would make the entire deck work faster. I also looked up flanking knights and some like Knight of Sursi, Knight of the Holy Nimbus, and Rift Marked Knight might make the deck work. Knight of Sursi is a good first turn and it's flying defense, Holy Nimbus is annoying to kill, and Rift Marked Knight brings a partner with him.

Mana isn't a problem. I was just pointing out that a lot of people say I don't put enough land in my decks, and that kinda builds my hostility until it eventually blows (see my earlier post). Again, sorry I went off.

I originally had them in here when I was first building the deck (as in, at best, I only had 2 or 3 of each card I needed) and they just didn't work too well for me. I might try them now that I can add 4 of them.

Nemesis Mask is great in a flanking deck--a double instance of flanking + Nemesis mask will be basically a pyrcolasm on their side. Also, I'd consider Knight Exemplar.
