Your mana curve is too high, as has already been pointed out. Just adding more mana will not solve the problem. You need to cut a bunch of the higher cost creatures out and add some 1 or 2-drops. Preferably 1-drops.

Think about it: Most of your creatures cannot come out until turn 5 or 6. By then, your opponent will likely have 3 to 5 creatures on the board, possibly pumped with some enchantments. You will not live to see turn 5 without some chump blockers to stall until you can get out your big hitters.

Thanks dude, it's a really fun deck to play even when you lose. There's been games where I try to tutor for a card with Spoils of the Vault and end up killing myself because the card never comes up. But even then, it's fun because my opponent and I have a good laugh about it.

Other times Spoils leaves me with 1 life and then I pull out a 12/12 Death's Shadow on turn 2 and end up winning the game. Games like that, where you essentially start the game with 1 life, are exciting.

It's instances like that that make suicide such a fun archetype to play.

LOL, that's pretty much exactly why we follow the banned list. Save the turn-2 kills for FNM. Kitchen table games are to kick back, have a few beers, and have a good time. Not to lock out your opponent or pull off a turn-2 kill. Makes it a chore to play, ya know?

That's why I keep a low budget for my casual decks. I put the money into the tournament decks, and I do not bring those out for casual sessions. It just is not fun for my play group who just play for fun.

You need to seriously swing he manacurve of this deck. Take out at least 12 of your 3-drops and put in 1-or-2 drops. RIght now, you are doing absolutely nothing on turns 1-2. Not a good strategy.

Vexing Shusher is such a great card.

+1 from me! I like it.

I would definitely agree with you, but my play group follows WotC's banned lists and Vampiric Tutor is currently banned in Legacy.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure about Emerge Unscathed either. I love cheap rebound cards, though. Hard to resist. I feel like if I were going to run Duress or Inquisition, 4-of is not really enough. I would need to fit in at least 8 of them in order to get an adequate flow of disruption instead of just a 1-off random cast in a game. I don't know what I would take out to fit them in?

It's true. It's actually one of the my main motivations for making a deck like this. It makes it really easy and fun to play, instead of stressful. I don't have to worry about my creatures in this deck because they are meant to destroy or die trying.

I love pulling this deck out after one of my more cerebral decks. It's mindless in the fact that I don't have to think much. Just cast the creatures and swing.

Agreed. Most times, I have 4 creatures out by turn 3. Board wipe is a glaring weakness. Ghostway could be a counter to that.

Great suggestion, thanks. I worry about ease-of-removal for Platinum Angel, though. Are there any other enchantments with a similar effect?

I'm looking for suggestions of other cards that have similar effects to Phyrexian Unlife (keeping me alive past 20 damage). It has to be Black or White, and be splashable.

Slippery Bogle makes a good 1-drop in this deck.

So many 1-of's makes this deck very unfocused. Pick the few cards you like, and make them 3 or 4-of's so that you will draw them on a more consistent basis.

Quasali Pridemage is a great utility card in a GW deck. Exalted to buff your attackers, and enchantment/artifact destroy if you need it. Also, Watchwolf I would think is an automatic add in any GW deck.

Ever considered Hyena Umbra and Rancor?

My GW deck plays really well. Yes, I could use some 1-drops in there, but overall it's potent.

Kor Spiritdancer seems like she could quickly turn into a finisher. Slap a Rancor and a Hyena Umbra on her and she becomes a 7/7 First Strike Trampler w/ Totem Armor on turn 3. Yes, please.

I'd love some more comments on this deck...

I can get a good, consistent creature production, but I need a finisher. Something like Overrrun or something like that... This deck is good for early/mid game, but if the opponent is able to get the game to go long and bring out huge beaters, then I'll be in trouble. Perhaps I need some huge green or white beaters? Or a game-changing spell? Any ideas?

Yeah, so would I. But Wooded Bastion are $5 each, while Sungrass Prairie are $0.89. :)

I was just trying to build this deck quick and cheap. It's just a casual deck. Maybe if I enjoy playing it enough, I'll invest in some better lands for it.

Yeah, you get X*2 life. What do you recommend swapping out for Loam Lion? Maybe Qasali Pridemage?

I've made a bunch of changes. I needed more removal protection, so I added in 3x Swiftfoot Boots. I can't use Lightning Greaves because I need to be able to use spells and abilities on my creatures.

I also added some Slippery Bogles for 1-drop speed, worry-free pumping.

Yeah, that is true TEL21. I decided to throw in some Brainstorms to take a little more advantage of Blue and to buff Lorescale even more.

Lorescale is pretty slick. Awesome art, too.
