Deck Description

Flavor inspired by the title.

Soldiers would get a little overzealous, then what transpires? And what if there were Vampires hidden among their ranks? How much chaos can we throw into our ideal of restraint before it all becomes conspicuous?

How to Play

Original concept design:
Otherworldly Journey on Phalanx Leader, helps rouse the Slumbering Dragon.
Mark of Mutiny to give own creatures +1/+1 haste.
Cenn's Tactician to give some early relief.
Volt Charge is a gem saved for a sweep.
Having flavor in every one of these strategies.

After practice:
Slumbering Dragon is the best 1st turn available, especially drawing multiple.
The Instants are used purely in response to opposing plays.
The real backbone of the deck tends to be unblocked Vampires that get big out of nowhere (Proliferate), while soldiers defend the ship and Dragons intimidate, so to speak.
Aurelia is almost a guaranteed win-con if played on the appropriate terms.

Acceptable sideboards:
2x Heirs of Stormkirk -> Markov Blademaster
2x Benalish Commander -> Lost Leonin
4x Boros Guildgate -> Sacred Foundry
