Deck Description

In the first pack got Sidisi as my first rare and a bunch of decent cheap green creatures early too, I took the small formidable creatures after seeing how effective they were in a previous draft and pretty sure there was a Grim Contest early too so wasn't going to complain!

Second pack broke out into a jank rare, so grabbed the Temur Sabertooth as first pick instead and kept grabbing what cheap creatures I could, luckily the Archfiend of Depravity was passed by 2 players since it was off colour, so that got snapped up too.

Final pack gave the Foe-Razer which finally decided exactly how the deck was to play out, I passed on the Hero's Blade at first but was glad to see it come back around; transferable +3/+2 for any cost is still playable in draft, dunno why any of use ignored it before!

When I came to actually building all the I knew all the fight effects, formidable were going in and as much +1/+1 effects that I could fit too; Inspiring Call can be so good sometimes, the only cards that were rough to drop were: Defeat it's removal after all, Formless Nurturing a 3/3 that works with Inspiring Call, and Deadly Wanderings but felt it was anti-synergy.

How to Play

Was able to chuck down creatures pretty quickly and consistantly to trigger formidable nice and early , turn 4 formidable should be a reasonable aim.

With all the fight effects and lack of hard removal in draft Foe-Razer was as much a bomb as anything else on the night, Sidisi basically is there just to draw the Foe-Razer but made for a real solid defender too.

But the suprising all-star combo was actually Stampeding Elk Herd with Hero's Blade attached; that thing won me games all by itself, an 8/7 trample creature was no joke in constructed let alone draft.

Ended up 2nd going 1-1 2-1 2-1.
