So in our local playgroup we occasionally have a draft made from the junk rares collected over the many years of magic that have been played, those forgotten cards that aren't bad... just not really... you know; playable.So those janky, ropey cards have returned and this was the deck I got on the day; giving me a 2-1 2-1 0-2 result (damn mana screw, friendly game after I beat the deck I lost 0-2 to).Probably the most fun you can have playing MTG.
Well there aren't many removal cards in the format since rare removal doesn't really fall into a junk box; so the whelming wave and mass calcify are real game changers and the spelltwine allows for a recast.There is a funky combo by using brushhopper to discard land then using forgotten harvest with hardened scales on the simic manipulator, the returning brushopper plus harvest can add +4 to the manipulator and that really did result in = steal bomb.I really do regret dropping the opportunity to grab two righteous authorities; draw potential probably would of been unstoppable!

love the deck but is there suppose to be 2 simic manipulators?

Yep, managed to pull 2 of them since nobody else seemed to want them and they really helped grab some of the early creatures or some of the low power combo makers, they can be so good and the hardened scales just made them so much better.
