It's ok. A common mistake that people make on my decks. I only play standard and modern. I've only ever made 1 vintage/legacy deck

Well... There is my Sorin's Vengeance dek which is mono-black, but I can make a B/W version

Control and Counterspells are the whole reason that Pact is in the SB. Besides that, the whole deck is going to strip your opponents life
That's ok. I like the other one better too, but I thought I should at least TRY this one...As for Dream Halls, it's a Vintage/Legacy card where this is a modern deck
