How to Play

This deck is based on two main creatures - Ajani's Pridemate and Serra Ascendant - which can quite quickly distribute huge amount of damage. At the same time their power is increasing, you gain life, so you can endure more. Another way to win is Felidar Sovereign, because it shouldn't be hard to have life above 40 by the time you cast Felidar. To defend yourself you can incapacitate opponent's creatures by enchantments.

Deck discussion for Living Spirit

Hi all,
I'm quite a beginner in the World of Magic and this is my first attempt to build a deck, so I would like to hear your opinions about it before I make this selection final. Thank you for all your advice!

Nice deck although I suggest cutting it to sixty.
Maybe look into getting an Ajani.
Oblivion Ring is extremely versatile.
Utility lands perhaps.
I'm new-ish as well :)

Thanks for your tips!
I cut it down to 60 although I'm not sure why it's so important - I mean, do four cards matter? Ajani and other planeswalkers are really nice boost to a deck, but I tried to avoid using them since I don't know whether they are normally accepted in regular matches. Oblivion Ring is very nice :). Unfortunately I'm completely lost in the endless amount of Magic cards, so I don't know anything about utility lands.
Good luck with your "magic start" :)

Cradle of vitality is cool, but slowish and unnecessary. Also, angel's feather isn't too good. Drop the feathers and cradles for Martyr of Sands. I'd also try to find room for honor the pure if i were you.
Recumbent bliss and elixir of imortality arent super great either. Try Ranger of Eos to help you get your soul sisters out.

Hope this helped :)

ragingoblin is 100% right. angel feathers is junk and you really want matyr of the sands here.

Thank you both for your help, my idea was to have as many as possible lifegain occasions so Pridemates get as many as possible counters and - after I checked the card for the second time and fully understood its ability - I totally agree with you :). Also Ranger of Eos is an interesting option, I'll try to balance it.
