Deck Description

this is a (low budget) legacy mono black control deck im currently optimizing.

open to helpful suggestions, advice, and criticism,

dont recommend expensive cards, trying to keep this to very small budget, but also competitive, as you can see

please comment! will return the favor

How to Play

The deck is pretty straightforward like most mono black control. Use kill spells to clear board of threats, life gains to sustain.

Tainted aether+Spreading plague does really nice against creatures.

win with corrupt + consume spirit using duress or cabal therapy to bait the counters or remove them.

Deck discussion for Creatureless MonoBlack Control

since a decent amount of your cards are high mana cost... idk if $9 would count as expensive, but lillian of the dark realms can do some good for mana accel in black. she fetches swamps for her first ability and her emblem makes all swamps produce 4 black

I'm thinking a late game Yawgmoth's Agenda would be very powerful in this deck, especially if you play against someone who can counter and/or prevent damage done by your Consume Spirit and Corrupt.

Also, if you're playing Crystal Quarry, I'd considering playing a 5-colors creature (like Horde of Notions, if you want something "cheap") that would kill every other creature, via Spreading Plague. Alternatively, you could play Transguild Courier, which won't require Crystal Quarry to be put into play, yet still counts as a 5-colors creature. I'm figuring you want at least 2 creatures in your deck, so you can activate Cabal Therapy's flashback cost, if that make sense?
