This is my Phenax toughness milling deck that used to be standard. Since it's out of rotation, I would love some suggestions to help convert this idea to be more modern. The idea of the deck is to just buff the toughness of defenders to mill with Phenax. I already have two ideas, one to stick Amulet of Vigors in, to make guildgates less slow. The other being getting rid of the Hold the Gates idea, and just using 4 copies of Tower Defense in it's place, opening up room for counter magics to protect myself.Ideas on what to take out, or put in?

Hrum, this deck has so much of its own flavour its hard to change. Id put a post on either one of jesse's or notherwarlord's old decks asking for help.The best place to start when making any deck for modern though, is to see what gets played in your modern meta-game. After seeing that id look up on-line what cards you need to counter those decks and put them in your side/main board.One deck you will face (until next year when it's banned) is ascendancy combo, and you need at least 3 surgical extraction to get rid of the "jeski ascendancy" when you can.
