Deck Description

A deck that emphasizes shadow to deal major, direct damage to the enemy.
Ebonblade Reaper + Dauthi Embrace and Vampiric Link will quickly win the game
Phage the Untouchable + Dauthi Embrace / Dauthi Trapper is a clear win
Snake Cult Initation + Any creature with shadow will win the game in 4 turns or less
Diseased Vermin + Dauthi Embrace / Dauthi Trapper can begin stacking up damage
Gauntlet of Power can beef up my creatures and give me more mana.

Deck discussion for What lurks in the Shadows

I'm just a noob, but doesn't the "Ebonblade Reaper" actually only DEALS 1 damage, so that the "Vampiric Link" will only gain you 1 life?

I would think that the "that player loses half his or her life, rounded up" is an effect, not dealt damage.

Other than that I think it would be nasty and frustrating deck to play against.
I would throw in some "Dark Ritual"s as I do in any all-black deck, but I'm old fashioned. :)

You may be right about vampiric link + ebonblade reaper, but I really have no idea.
I still like Vampiric Link in there though, as it can generate life well through Dauthi Warlord or Diseased Vermin
I was thinking about Dark Ritual, but in the end couldn't think of what to replace it with. I suppose I could replace Vampiric Link with it if I wanted to be more offensive....
I'll just add it to my sideboard for now.
