Deck Description

This deck looks to take advantage of both Rally the Peasants and Kessig Malcontents. Humans round out the curve and set up some very early damage that can be finished with some burn.

The sideboard obviously still needs some work. And I could use some guidance on the spells that I should run.

Deck discussion for Red White Humans

Looks pretty good! Maybe add Homura for a great boost!

Is priest of urabrask a human? If so maybe you could throw him in, just for the extra mana boost?

You should really throw in gather the townsfolk. Helps with pumping up the Champion and goes well with your Malcontents

That's a really good point. I think I will drop the stormblood berserkers for gather. Turn 1 champ, Turn 2 gather (swing with a 3/3), turn 3 Malcotents - take 3 automatically, and swing with a 4/4, and 2 1/1s seems like a solid start.

Like the deck man, Should maybe consider running sliverblade paladin as another good 3 drop, instant double strike and then soulbind to champion fora 4/4 double strike.

Check out my deck when you get the chance :D http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=329853

Thatcher Revolt needs to find a slot somewhere, and I would dial Rally the Peasants back from a 4-of. 2 should do fine for you. I'm always wary of pump spells, primarily because they require the bodies to actually be there, and you're not running a situation where you have around 30 creatures and just pumps. You'll run into situations where your hand is burn and Rally, and you have no bodies on the board to use it, in which case it's a dead card.

I can't really say I like your mana distribution too terribly much, either. You only have 11 white sources in your deck, and you want to land Hero on T4 with double white. I'd at least drop one Slayers' Stronghold for another Plains. You'll still have two in the deck, and you want to constantly be dropping things early, so you won't really be in a place to want to pump until at least T5, by which you should have a rally to do that job if you don't have a Stronghold.

Technically, I already have 13 white sources (the two cavern of souls would obviously be declared for humans and thus could go for either red or white). But I do think you're correct about dropping one slayer's stronghold.

And I also like the suggestion to drop some rallys for thatcher revolts. Thanks much.

A Thraben Doomsayer or 2 would really help this deck I think. Tap it every turn and you get a 1/1 human token, which essetially is a guarenteed boost every turn for you.
Just a suggestion. :)

I like the idea, but doomsayer seems a bit too slow for this deck. I do use doomsayer in another deck of mine - I call it my "Feed me Seymour" white human/black demon deck. It works out pretty well there.

You should sideboard some artifact hate (Divine Offering, Revoke Existence, Ancient Grudge) to help with Swords and other colorless threats. Celestial Purge is really good against Zombies and Huntmaster.
