Basilisk Collar would go great with Cunning Sparkmage as a pinger to get rid of any creature that your opponents controls

Or any creature in this deck for that matter. Don't usually see life gain in red, and don't usually see much defense either. Further evidence that Basilisk Collar is good in every deck (that runs creatures) :P
You're not running standard, so maybe splash blue for Distortion Strike, Wee Dragonauts, and Gelectrode.
