Deck Description

Omnath will have his revenge.

Oracle Text errata:
Llanowar Druid, Kaysa, Wirewood Channeler, Heart Warden. All of these are creature type *Elf Druid*. Elder Druid is an *Elf Cleric Druid*.

Deck redundancy:
Tutor
-Mangara's Tome, Planar Portal, Kuldotha Forgemaster, Citanul Flute, Brutalizer Exarch

Draw
-Drum Hunter, Gilt-Leaf Archdruid (clone them for more draw!)
Scry
-Oracle of Mul Daya ((Crystal Ball removed; with as much tutoring as the deck has, scry is not terribly good))

Token Creatures
-Myr Battlesphere, Hornet Queen, Kazandu Tuskcaller, Feed the Pack, (Parallel Lives)

Token DUPLICATION (oh yeah)
-Soul Foundry, Prototype Portal, Mimic Vat, (Parallel Lives)

On that matter, there are many creatures that are good alone, but are great in duplicators.
-Myr Battlesphere or Hornet Queen in Mimic Vat ideally (cheaper), others fine if mana ramp going. 4 tokens each per turn, for 3 to 7 mana. If Parallel Lives is out, either artifact will pop two copies of the creature. Each creature would then make double tokens: 16. Madness.
-There are a fair number of artifact creatures included because as artifact and creature, they can go in either Prototype Portal AND Soul Foundry OR Mimic Vat.

Great candidates for cloning (other than token makers of course, which are ideal):
-Signal Pest: stack Battle Cry bonus! faux flyer too. for {1}.
-Plauge Myr: infect AND mana generator. Costs {2}, but literally pay for themselves.
-Llanowar Druid or Joraga Treespeaker. Cost {1} each, pay for themselves, AND druids toward Gilt-Leaf Archdruid's ultimate goal: get 7 druids and start ganking ALL of an opponents land.
-Adaptive Automaton: give out bonuses to any creature type (if you get a lot of one token type), or make them druids to count toward Gilt-Leaf's druids also. Also, on the off chance that Rip-Tide Replicator came out accidentally on a Genesis Wave (would result in x=0, creating 0/0 creatures of chosen type (druid!)), Adaptive Automaton would keep them alive with a bonus. As would Caged Sun or Kaysa.
-Scute Mob: lololol for {1}. Too bad I don't own a doubling season too/ instead of Parallel Lives.
-Brutalizer Exarch: two choices: If nothing else, just start returning lands to their deck.
-Phyrexian Revoker: Name all of your opponents power cards (generals!). Or name the same card over and over if you really hate it.

Prototype Portal specific (non-creatures):
-Dupe some Soul Foundries! (The one time this happened in play testing was ABSURD).
-Dupe some Mangara's Tomes- make one just a land stack or something.
-Dupe a Doubling Cube.

Both Unwinding Clock and Seedborn Muse will let you use your cloners on every opponents turn.

Mana Ramp:
-Should go without saying, but Omnath is all about mana ramp.
-Keeper of Progenitus (whom should be killed once you are on your way; don't want to help opponents too much. Kill with Feed the Pack, or strap the Tempting Licid (which can be detached after blockers are declared/will survive)
-Mana Reflection (this doubles your elves as well. leveling up Joraga Treespeaker to max pays for itself if even a few elves are out) (if you were to SB in Basalt Monolith, it goes infinite with Mana Reflection. Just not probable or worth the space)
-Vernal Bloom (helps your opponents if they are playing green; destroy if this is the case, as soon as you are otherwise ok. Nullmage Shepherd or Nullmage Advocate can kill)
-Doubling Cube (as long as your pool is above 7, you will come out ahead when you use it)
-Oracle of Mul Daya (cannot say enough good things about this card. VERY useful and cheap)
-Magus of the Candelabra (If your lands have doubled their production in any way, he will be a gain)

--Possibilities of Infinity--
- If you have at least 4 lands and a single doubler, AND Magus of the Candelabra gets the Sword of the Paruns (tap land for 8 mana, tap magus (spending 4 to untap the lands). Tap land again and you now have 12 mana. Pay 3 to untap magus via the sword, and you now have 9 (a net gain of 1 mana). Repeat infinite).

-If you have Mana Reflection AND Joraga Treespeaker AND Sword of the Paruns (tap Treespeaker for 4 green, pay 3 to untap via the sword. Repeat infinite)

-If you have Wirewood Channeler/Elvish Archdruid AND Sword of the Paruns AND at least 3 other elves.

-Once you have infinite mana?...
-Technically you can now pass the sword around and let anyone use their abilities infinitely. Sadly there are only two non-mana tap-creature abilities in the deck: Kazandu Tuskcaller (infinite elephants!) and Nullmage Shepherd (infinite enchantment/artifact destruction when you tap four untapped creatures). Technically you can also use the Gilt-Leaf Archdruid's 'tap seven druids to gain control of all lands target opponent controls' also. But if you're already at that step, why are you bothering with mana ramp?

Since added: Elder Druid. With the above combo, if the sword and infinite mana is available to him, you can now tap your cloners (artifacts) infinitely. Imagine infinite Phyrexian Revokers. Name every card your opponents have. I'm not sure why I'm even doing this.

Also, you can sac Omnath (whom will have infinity toughness) for infinity wolves if Feed the Pack is out.
Seeing as you have infinite mana available, I'm pretty sure you can spare 5 mana to recast him next turn right back to infinity/infinity power/toughness.

If you want the infinite combo to work, go ahead and risk them all (the deck can work without them) under Mangara's Tome. Magus, Sword, Elder, Caged Sun, Kazandu Tuskcaller. Would work better with Drumhunter or Gilt-Leaf Druid on the table since you can only draw for {2} any other time you'd normally draw.

--THE WIN--
I've wired this deck to be *fun* with all you can do. I still haven't gotten to steal ALL of someone's lands (sadface) in play testing. I can still hope, and the Gilt-Leaf Archdruid still has a useful draw ability. What almost disappoints me though, is how easy it is to win with Omnath. Get him to 21 (mana to 20). Whispersilk Cloak/Trailblazer's Boots/Tempting Licid on something else. Get him further over 21 and give him Trample (so many ways). Vorrac Battlehorns mean you probably don't even have to get much beyond 30 mana. Also, fellow players HATE Omnath. Be prepared for Seedborn Muse to be killed/countered as soon as she comes out. Otherwise, Genesis Wave for absurd amounts and just *win*. (and yes, lands come out with Genesis Wave; everything but sorceries and instants).

Bear Umbra?

A good suggestion :)

I've played with it, but removed it because of the 'one shot' nature of creature enchants. Our EDH circle is vicious with 'kill all' and direct kill spells. Equips survive where enchants do not. Also, tricks like Seedborn Muse and Unwinding Clock take effect the moment they come into play, and do their work on each opponents turn for massive advantage. By contrast Bear Umbra must go on a creature, whom then must attack and possibly die.
