You know, It might be pretty neat (just a thought) to use some of the powerful undying guys in this build, because you could devour them, and then attack, or devour them to somebody else you know? Thank you that is an interesting Idea :) After some play-testing I will see whether or no undying will fit in the deck.
mate this would be hectic with all the different tokens you'd get cranking confusing but cool, I like. one thing but couldn't find your general dude in the deck who is he?
He is a Legendary creature Being released in Planeschase this summer, 3RG 0/0 Devour X where X is the number of Creatures Devoured So Devour 3 creatures, He gets 9 +1 counters 5= 25 6= 36 etc :)

Doubling season is a must, Im working on a deck just like this one so not only will you get double tokens but also double counters. Its a great card.

Srry for blowing ya up on here. Soulblast and hellion erruption Is a great combo not to mention on there own. im trying to find more cards electropotence and warstorm surge.Things that do damage as they enter the battlefield, ppl will hold there counter spells when they see you scoop up to devour.just some thoughts
Its ok lol, My only issue with cards like soul blast and hellion eruption is that my way of getting creature tokens to sac for devour is with other creatures.... also i dont like depending on a 2 card combo in edh, i like have more full deck synergy. Electropotence is a great suggestion though, i will have to work it in somehow Thank you for all the suggestions!
Im looking at a Thromok EDH, and i like what you've done here. The essential thing is with a thromok deck in my opinion, is you need 5 creatures by turn 5, as well as some haste stuff, trample stuff, and protection stuff. So why 5 creatures? that gets you 25/25 Thromok, and since you only need to deal 21 commander combat damage to your opponent to win, that is the fastest. I would reccomend cheap token makers, Krenko's Command, Dragon Fodder, Fists of Ironwood etc. Then you need some serious voltron stuff, Basilisk Collar is amazing here, and thing that gives him double strike (fireshrieker) is incredible, as it lessens the number of tokens needed. Good haste stuff would be Lightning Greaves, Swiftfootboots, Ring of Valakas, and Fervor. This in my opinion is the fastest/optimal build for thromok, so i hope this helps :)
