Deck Description

Black / White Vampires allows a lot more control than straight black vampires. Silence, Path to Exile, Mark of Asylum, Celestial Purge, Tempest of Light would be lost to a mono-black Vampire deck.

Running Vampire Nocturnus is not as useful in this deck as some of the cards are White.

And now the strategy:

Early game:
Keep control of the board with Silence, Feast, Gatekeeper, Hexmage, Path, Doom Blade and Sacrament. A good landfall deck is your worst nightmare as you can't really do anything but Silence them in the early game. Feast on Lotus Cobra, Path it, DON'T LET IT STAY ON THE BOARD! Against mono-black vampires this deck will pretty much smoke it. Against a mirror it's all up to individual card choices and the strategy of the player. Time Sieve is the toughest match up here. Try your best in the first game but be confident second game that once you Side in you'll be well-prepared for them. That's what Ravenous Trap is for :)

Mid game:
Get Sorin and Kalitas out. Once both hit the field you should already be far enough ahead in control to make the game a quick mop-up after this. If they somehow kill off either one, don't worry you have built up so much momentum by this point that it won't matter.

Late game:
If the game lasts this long, there's something wrong, try to keep a level head, by this time most of your control will have been used up unless you were very conservative and noticed the game would be a long one early on. This is the best time to make use of Kalitas, as your opponent will likely be running low on removal as well.

If all goes well, you should be able to handle anything but Time Sieve 90% of the time game 1. Game 2 and 3 against Time Sieve your chances improve dramatically with the Ravenous Traps.

I think you misread it. He said that his deck would destroy a mono black, but a Lotus Cobra would be troublesome for the B/W Vamp Deck.

Actually, Lotus Cobra I would leave on the board. People need to realize, it is not Lotus Cobra that makes you win: The cards he helps you play make you win. Honestly, when I see Lotus Cobra I just use my Removal to kill off the big winning cards instead of wasting it on garbage that would normally come out right away. Then again, that is why you need to think about what they are playing first. If they are playing a very fast aggressive game, kill it. If they are playing a Slow game with high cost creatures, dont kill it. Let the threats come out and deal with em accordingly. If its Artifacts or Enchantments, this deck has Duress and to be honest I really like the common card from M10 that destroys a Artifact or Enchantment for 3 mana (Its White) and nets you life even though thats not to important. The point is, Lotus Cobra is ONLY as good as what you use it with.
