Thank You. ***The idea is relatively simple in terms of game play. Get Ob Nixilis out and play lands and umbras on him to keep him alive. That being said, there are a few ways to go about doing that.First, the use of Liliana and Korlash's abilities to get lands out. Both allow you to search for a swamp (plus side, they don't have to be basic swamps, i.e. duel-tap lands) and play them directly to the field. This allows you to get Ob Nixilis out sooner and get the necessary enchantments onto him to keep those pesky kill spells from ruining your plans. Second, the use of pain lands and Life From the Loam. By using the Verdant Catacombs and Life From the Loam's effect, you are able to search fro the duel-tapping lands to best get Ob Nixilis and the umbra enchantments out sooner. Then you should be able to use Garruk and Liliana's +1 abilities to enact landfall and to keep the lands open for use for a while longer.There are some other cards in the deck that are there for other uses, too.Deathrite: he's annoying to deal with on a turn one drop, he is there for the poke factor.Elves of Deep Shadow: they help with mana security. Sure they might hurt a bit, but they help keep mana that might have been spent on Ob Nixilis open for other spells.Boundless Realms: Massive landfall potential.Grim Discovery: allows you to bring back Verdant Catacombs and/or a creature to your hand.Profane command: Just all the abilities- life loss, return creature to play, -x/-x to a creature, or give creatures fear. It's just a nice card.
