drop elixir and go with more emeria (at least two) and 4 kabira crossroads, then drop emerge unscathed for rest for the weary its the fastest way to get to 30 life for your serra ascendant but i would go with brave the elements before i went with emerged unscathed if you wanna keep it

both of the lands comes in tapped, i was using the draw sample hand feature, adding any more slows the deck too far and your opponent will sit there and start to beat you down. elixir is a great card and stops mill decks in their tracks on top of giving you 5 life for 3 mana. ill make the brave the elements switch, i prefer control over just adding more lifegain.
