Deck Description

I happened to be looking at Infiltration Lens with Taunting Elf for one deck at the same time I was looking at Inner Calm for an EDH deck and bam! this deck slammed into my head completely built.

Plus it's BUDGET!

How to Play

So the idea is to play two creatures, 3 if one is a Ivy Seer. Equip Infiltration Lens to one and make all your opponents creatures block it. Draw a bunch of cards and activate the Ivy Seer, or cast Inner Calm, Scent of Ivy and get through for 6 to 12 dmg. Play another creature and repeat.

If for some reason they don't have enough creatures, give them some with Hunted Troll, and perhaps enchant it with Noble Quarry later for giggles!

Deck discussion for Please Block This Creature!

Brilliant :D Pity Ivy Seer takes 4 turns to cast, and you can only activate his ability at the 5th turn... Perhaps speeding this up could help. I'm a fan of Wild Growth or Overgrowth or the likes, those could help. Perhaps in place of some of the higher CMC creatures that need to be blocked by all opponent's creatures?

Yeah your definitely right. Ivy Seer is in theme for the deck but it is really slow. As of this post I have 18 must block creatures which is probably overkill. I can probably do fine with just 15. I like Overgrowth but I feel the CMC 3 slot is key. So I think I'll go with Wild growth. I'll cut -1 Ivy Seer, -1 Golgari Decoy, and -2 Prized Unicorn and add +4 Wild Growth. I haven't played with the deck yet, might decide to try to add 4 Rampant Growth later if I find I can make additional cuts.

Thanks for the comment, and the suggestions.

Yeah, Overgrowth is a tough one, I agree. I use it in my mana ramp deck together with WIld Growth and Voyaging Satyr, you can get a sick amount of mana that way around turn 4 :-) But it takes up a lot of card space and cmc if mana ramp isn't your main drive.

I'm interested in the playtests for this deck, I really like the idea, and you've got some good cards in there!
