Deck Description

After a 4 month absence from Magic I've finally decided I need to get back involved. Anyway my first attempt at the new standard since RtR came out probably rusty as I am essentially clueless on the metagame. It's a straightforward aggro beats decks where the keys are the giant growths, selesnya charms, and rancors.

Also in case Ian or Gary reads this:
1) I like the new interface getting rid of popular decks in my opinion will help the quality of the decks
2) is there no decks comments inbox anymore if so I cant find it
3) I don't know if this happens on the computer but I can't effect the number of the each card in the deck and after the first card in the main deck I can only add cards in the sideboard then move them to the maindeck
Anyways glad you guys finished v3

Did you think about Wild Defiance?

I had not and at 3 mana I don't know if it is worth it I only have 8 instants and soreceries that target my creatures and the rest of the time it would sit there fairly uselessly just a deference from pillars, searing spears, etc. I may add some to the Sideboard though thanks for the comment!

With doomed traveler and lingering souls, intangible virtue would be nice. Also in the current meta, thragtusk, sorin, vraska, armada wurm, and angel of Serenity are often in decks like this, if youre willing to spend a bit for them. :) if youre still curious about the meta, im trying to make my deck 'huntmaster of nivix' competitive, maybe it can give you some ideas as to what to expect and prepare against. :)

I definately thought about thragtusk and sorin but I don't have the money to shell out maybe if I could swing a few trades... Anyway instead of intangible virtue what would you think about gavony township... Anyway you have given me a lot to think about thanks for the comment and I will look at your deck as soon as I can :)

Gavony is great too, but I cant help but love the vigilance from the virtue... Id honestly use both haha. and if you can swing those trades, definitely go for it. Sorin is excellent for this deck, and thragtusk has redefined the whole standard meta, id run 4 if I had the money or trade stuff. And no problem, I hope I helped :)
