You do realize Virulent Swipe gives creatures deathtouch...not infect...right kiddo?

Your logic on a 3rd turn win is hoping they don't have a flying creature to block? Mine and lifestouch decks are pretty solid check out Natures Claim for your sideboard ten times better then naturalize check it out

+2/+0 1B to cast w/ rebound + Rebound & Livewire Lash... that's potentially 8 poison counters on a creature with 0 base power....being that all creatures in here have at least a power of 1...that's 9-10 counters depending on blocks

just curious, why use vampire's bite over, say, giant growth? do you find yourself needing the lifelink in such a fast deck?

Simply because it's B to cast as opposed to G to simply balance the mana cost between G and B. Say I have B and GG open I can cast Vines of Vastwood w/ kicker and Vamp's Bite where as if I had Vines + Giant Growth in hand I could cast both yes...but lose out of +4/+4 from kicker on Vines. It just simply balances out the spells. I NEVER kick Vamp's Bite.

Interesting point, I was wondering why you set it up this way too.

How has your deck been playing? I feel like it needs more creatures. Have you had any problems getting livewire lash out?

It plays really really really well... it hardly loses. in regards to lash...i win most of my games with out ever having to play it or really rely on it's main purpose. A lot of the times it's T1 land T2 stinger T3 kicked Vines + Vamps bite for 8 counters. After than the next turn usually does it. 19 creatures seems to work just fine honestly.

It's still in the deck b/c against a stalling deck or a deck that has a lot of control over attacking creatures its basically a double edged sword for my oppent.

Also looking at what i have seen from Besieged, I'm thinking of even dropping the Hands and putting in 2 of the Phyrexian Crusaders since I really hardly find myself needing/casting the Hands...they may go into the sideboard havne't 100% decided. And i'm not sure about the new infect Rats from besieged either. Hopefully they also give us some more low cost artifacts and green/black/blue creatures with infect. The one white creature with infect is a bit lame....but i guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah i like the idea of the crusader better. If things arent going your way he wont be stuck in your hand as long and he has some nice built in protection. :) Also have you considered replacing Stabbing Pain with Virulent Wound, they both have their upsides, but that wont mess up your pretty nicely balanced mana (which impressed me alot btw so good job ;D). Possibly even using the Plague Myr in place of your Ichorclaw Myr. You would lose his nice pumping ability but you may get off the ground a little faster. I suppose only playtesting and preferences will determine that though. Good luck though, so far this is looking pretty awesome.

I think you should do a might of oaks with a distortion strike combo for a granteed win on you 5 or6 turn.

Going for standard legal so Might of Oaks is out. Putting in blue just for Distortion Strike isn't worth it to me, although it is a nice spell I can usually win by the 4-5th turn with this set-up.

Uhh; So I just used this deck vs a few decks in apprentice, it tends to get to turn 7-9 before a win, not once in 30 games did I get a win in under 5 turns.

Which is exactly why this kind of deck will never be a successful archetype. Yes, it CAN win on turn 4, but only if you draw exactly the right cards, which is nearly impossible.

Consistency is the name of the game, folks. And Infect/Pump decks are NOT consistent.

i have had this deck for awhile and while i can win on turn 3 or 4, any control or squad hawks just pile drive this deck. at the same time most red deck just doesn't even give this deck a chance, every single thing in this deck dies to lightning bolt or for that matter any burn spell.

If you find yourself not having to rely on livewire lash, doesn't that tell you its relatively dead weight? I am not saying cut it from the deck, but maybe decrease the number from 4.

As for Phyrexian Crusader, I would swap it out for Hand of the Praetors.

Also, also since this deck is green and black, and depends on LWlash maybe run Glissa? She makes for good defense for you, and helps to ensure that your myr and vector asp stay on the board. It also allows for the combo: Natures claim on your own equipped artifact to gain 4 life, deal 2 infect, but you return the creature to your hand.

Second perhaps consider rot wolf instead of hand of praetors? If you get enough mana out to use hand of praetors, that means your deck isn't hitting things it needs to function. While it is nice to have the hand of praetors, having more cards to use as tools would be more valuable.

I love the spell usage and I believe this deck is somewhat consistent.

I made this deck pre-Besieged as you can tell... I can't believe it popped up on First Page but... hey that's cool! Yes crusaders in here would be good but maybe just 2-3 and the others in SB since the idea of the deck is a lot of creatures fast.

Nice deck but I would consider replaceing Blight Mambas with Necropedes perhaps as regenerate is amost useless now with all the -1 counters everwhere. I had 4 in my infect but ousted them for other cards.
If you could perhaps check out my infect deck you might get some ideas or even offer some advice too :)

I have tested a deck very very similar to this for weeks now...Blight Mambas are great Late Game help...but you dont even want to make it that far...beleive me...switch them out for more crusaders...and the Ichor rats for swamp rats...its helped me win at FNM...and other standard tournys.

Fun deck, I would say drop the mamba for another vector asp, praetor and crusader and I this deck would destroy... Mind letting me know what you think of my vamps? http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=155216
