This deck is built around the Investigate mechanic. It generates a large quantity of clue tokens, then uses those tokens to draw cards, beef up creatures, and gain life. I was intrigued by the investigate mechanic, and impressed at how well it fit the theme of Shadows Over Innistrad set. I wanted to build something that captured the feel of being on a hot trail; each clue building momentum and suspense.Key players are:Tireless Tracker: generates a large number of clues, and gets +1/+1 token each time a clue is sacrificed.Bloodbriar: gets +1/+1 token each time a permanent is sacrificedDaring Sleuth: plays early, then transforms when a clue is sacrificed. In his new form he has prowess, and generates more clues.Supporting cast:Byway Courier: Mid range strength for 2g, generates clues when it dies.Erdwal Illuminator: A cheap flyer with low/med toughness that generates and extra clue the first time you investigate each turn.Graf Mole: Gain 3 life for each clue you sacrifice.Pilgrim's Eye: Flying, search your deck for a landWild Field Scarecrow: Good blocker, and can be sacrifice for 2 land.
