Deck Description

Was never a fan of the original Eldrazi set/cards - the cards available (mainly the creatures) just became the result of a necessary combo. With the new set you can actually stand your own with the cards available without the necessity for the monstrous creatures like Ulamog or Emrakul (but lets not get ahead of ourselves its always good to have one on hand just in case).

I'm a major fan of green and black decks so this is my take on a Standard Eldrazi deck. I usually play in Modern so the Sideboard acts as the substitutes from going to Standard to Modern, which follows as:
All is Dust x2
Evolution Charm x4
Woodland Cemetery x4

for

Zulaport Cutthroat x3
Seek the Wilds x3
Blight Woodland x2
Jungle Hollow x2

How to Play

Play basically follows as:
1. Blisterpod / Catacomb Sifter / Call the Scions / From Beyond - scion generation to bring out larger Eldrazi creatures later on.

2. Blighted Woodland / Nissa / Explosive Vegetation / Seek the Wilds - Land drops or searching.

3. Transgress the Mind / Bone Splinters / Bane of Bala Ged - Control through sacrifice, permanent exile and card removal.

4. Conduit of Ruin / From Beyond / Seek the Wilds - Creature searching.

Last but not least Ulamog...well...I think it speaks for itself, however I have been thinking about replacing with its alternative, not sure yet.

Hopefully you like the deck and is of use as inspiration. Feel free to comment, help improve or just chat. Enjoy.

Deck discussion for Eldrazi: Bane of Zendikar

Hello, another fan of new eldrazi here! I think that the Eyeless Watcher is fairly weak for 4 mana with 2/2 work of stats. I would recommend taking those out for something better stat wise, since it seems you have them in their solely for more 4 drops. I think a cards like Endless One would give you a bigger impact while also being a threat later when you draw it. Another suggestion, with the double explosive vegetation and blighted woodlands I feel you could maybe run some blue in this deck? there are some very powerful black/blue eldrazi such as Fathom Feeder and Sire of Stagnation. I like the deck! I'm building an Eldrazi currently myself :)!

Cheers for the input I agree with your thoughts on Eyeless Watcher it is pretty bad for a 4 drop, mainly just in there for the scions really. I'll take Endless One into consideration, however there are a lot of additions that would work alongside this deck too.

In regards to the addition of blue I completely agree with you, this deck would benefit hugely from it but I centered my concept around just green/black for the moment. I included relevant additions for some control within the parameters of the colours chosen namely some sacrifice/destroy and discard. I may make an alternative deck with green/black/blue thou.

I think you have a lot of ramp, and not enough control. I understand that you're not running blue (and I read the comment above so I understand that you aren't considering it), so that limits you, but there are lots of good black removal stuff. The only downside to running black as a control color is that it really has no counters and focuses mostly on removal, so if you're playing against a spell based deck as opposed to a creature deck, you're black cards are mostly useless. Would you consider running duress to take care of annoying spells?

That was kind of the idea behind Transgress The Mind. A lot of the pesky low CC cards that would be used against me in say a red or blue focused deck should dealt with by using this card.
