Deck Description

Standard Blue/Black control deck centered around Planeswalkers built for tournament play.

The deck is built around stopping whatever the opponent does. There are anti counter (mana leak, stoic rebuttal), anti control/anti discard (duress, memoricide, and inquisition of kozilek), and anti aggro (ratchet bomb, doom blade, and consume the meek) built into the deck and sideboard. There are even anti red and green counterspells that can be used. This is why there are very few full sets of any given card.
The myrs are added for the extra mana generating capability (although the ratchet bomb can conflict depending on the game, but I felt the extra mana was worth it) and the platinum emperion was an afterthought that I used to add that extra way to extend my life if necessary until I can pull what I need.
The deck also uses the Jaces, preordain, and spreading seas for the card drawing capability as well as land neutralization in the case of spreading seas. Liliana is put in not just for her annoying discard ability, but really for her tutor ability to get whichever card I am lacking at the time.
Most of the lands used are for obvious reasons, but I added the tectonic edge lands in order to neutralize any really dangerous lands my opponent may have or to eliminate a land that is the only source of a given (and needed) color.
The end goal is to use Jace to eliminate their library and therefore the card drawing capability or one of the Grave Titans for the final kill.
