Of course the overpowered-ator gets his own tribal now! Horror's do have some sick potential though. Just a thought, spellskite is a horror and we all know how awesome its ability can be.

Also the curve seems a bit higher than your usual.

Yeah, the curve is higher because there's just no good horrors at lower mana costs...in fact, there's hardly any horrors at low cost period. Thankfully, the way the deck is set up, mana comes spewing out pretty quickly.

It just hit me that dauthi horror would be great, but for some reason its a beast o.O

is it just me, or would plague spitter have horrible synergy with the obliterator?

0

It does, but the nice thing is I can just sacrifice the spitter and save myself headaches. I love Plague Spitter too much not to use it.

these cards are all beyond my time, so I'm not the best at seeing the relationships between them. But i noticed that and decided to point it out, lol.

plague spitters are fun on their own accord, throw a basilisk collar or something on him and start gainin a bunch.
yeah they're kinda wonky with obliterator.

plaguespitter is perhaps my favorite card of all time... "like" for that... but along side obliterator - even though you're planning on saccing one of them, it still seems like this deck is quite suicidal...

0

Being suicidal in magic isn't always a bad thing... in fact, it adds a new weapon to the deck -- intimidation. no one wants to play against a deck that kills itself.

Anyways, i likes this deck. the only things i might suggest are spellskite and phyrexian revoker, those could help keep your mana curve low and add a bit of control to the deck.
Hope i helped.

Am i the only one here who has a problem with the fact "deux" was misspelled as "doux"? Because my eyes keep drifting to that and its really bothering me...

other than that, I was just hoping you, surewhynot, could check out a new NPH only deck I made and then post suggestions for the standard version/SOM only i plan on making (both of them). Deck link: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=191173

First attempt at shamelessly advertising. I think i did a good job at it and don't think I will be doing it again.

And if you want to check any of my other 93 decks, here are their links:

--OH GOD--! I'm doing it again!

I always look to your decks for ideas, and to date you have not let me down, this one is nice, i never even thought of using the obliterator in a tribal horror deck, but with the cards i have and a few trades later, i had a similar deck to this one, and tbs if i win any turnys with a deck based off yours i will let you know.

It would be cool to have a stat like "top decks" below your "decks" stat.

That said, a lot less of my decks do than most people think.

Love this deck, isn't cookie cutter with a couple changes, I find it rather unique and like it but that may be cus I haven't played magic for too long.

You always seem to have pretty unique takes on decks or a unique idea to begin with.

IT'S LIKE OPENING SURPRISE PRESENTS THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED BUT YOU DO KNOW IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!

0

Honestly, I don't see why they don't. Horrors have always been in magic, and they have a good place in the game.

Maybe Innistrad will solve this problem with the horror that lurks within

Not a far stretch. I'm hoping they eventually add a Specter lord too.

Hmmm, I dunno for sure but would Smallpox be a good suggestion? Helps keep their creature count down, allows for you to sac that dredgle land to fuel Ichorid, and could even be used to sac off Plague spitter if needed.

I smell a "Beyond the Ink" incoming. Give us one on the Demon tribe's brief extiction in the game of magic, and Horrors rise to power durring that period. What a sad time that was.

Also, Drinker of Sorrow was often looked at as Phyrexian Negator's retarded step brother, but it is far safer than Big Daddy Gator, deffinatly one to at least give a glance at.

But it is my proffesional black opinion, that any deck consisting of Ichorid, and is a horror deck, must run Bane of the Living. A board wipe into 3 Ichorids is devastating.

Just kidding. Indeed another BtI is around the corner. These recent ones I've been doing for the multi-colors of MTG take ~roughly~ a week's worth. Once I get through them I might consider doing something about at least ONE demon. =]

can you make a dredge deck? my friend has one that wins turn 1 almost every hand, and turn 2 if not. i want to see what you would come up with. the reason i ask is because he uses Ichorid and bridge below and after seeing ichorid in your deck i was remembering his.

Ichorid Dredge?

Tell your friend I said to stop being a lazy and boring bastard.

0

if not Ichorid then would would you use in a dredge deck? his idea was to use bridge below with ichorid and pump out a massive army and use this red creature (forgot the card name) to give them all haste, with 4 bridge belows dredged into your grave and an ichorid hitting the grave he creates an army of zombies with haste and i think the creature gives +1+1 too. plus 1-3 ichorids attacking turn 1 its turn 2 kill some times turn one if he does it right.

lol when ever we play against him we always say "stop jacking off Ryan" because he does so much in the first and second turn its like hes playing magic by himself and therefore he is 'playing with himself'

If, and that's a big if, I made a Dredge deck, I would make it a lifegain deck. I'm talking about gaining like...140 life on turn 2-3? I know how I'd do it, but I just don't really want to lol.

I just tried a couple of sample hands I was definately not short on mana. I was getting minimum 3 lands, which is good in my book. As for plague spitter I always loved that card. Back when mono black control was the rage with mutilates he rocked the board by controlling all the little critters by himself.

Just curious, why only the 2 tombs of yawgmoth? isn't there no downside vs a swamp, seeing as it becomes a swamp?

Also, is there any way to download this quickly as a .dec file? currently collecting the cards for my version of it. (3 Obliterators so far!!!!!)

No way to DL it as far as I know. You can just do a copy paste of the list onto a word doc. It might be ugly, but you can still do it...

The Tombs are legendary, so even though they are superior in almost every way to a swamp, having too many runs the risk of being a dead draw.
