Deck Description

Modern Deck.

This is my Fungus deck which I've had for a long time, but decided to post it after seeing this Fungus deck:

http://mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=130292

This deck can be very quick, but it can also recover from mass destruction. Plus it has a few extra cards to protect and change mid-game if needed.

Note: Just found out that this is Modern Legal without any changes.

Deck discussion for Fungus Overrun

Please tell me why no spore flowers or Elvish Farmers? or doubling seasons? - I probable would not run doubling seasons, I am just curious as to your logic behind exculding these choices

Elvish Farmer is nice, but I don't know what I'd take out for it. Spore Flowers don't produce Saprolings, which I want for Mycoliths.

Doubling Seasons is a card I just found about last week and this deck has been finished for months. I'm not if it works with spore tokens, but since I have Sporesower Thallids, I probably don't need it.

Why do you only have 1 land?

whoops, something weird just happened, and it only showed one Forest, sorry. Check out "Sporoloth Ancient".

No problem about the land. I was editing the deck, because I forgot to put land into it.

I just saw the Sporoloth a few minutes ago and he is nice. I don't know what I'd take out for him, I like the Savage Thallids because they can regenerate my Fungus'.

There are two ways to build a deck, from ones personal collection. If that was the case I wouldnt have teh Mycoloths, but I would have Sporoloth Ancient and Spore Flowers. I wouldnt have doubling seasons, money is going into my thrull deck. One of my friends has an invasion ((least I think its invasion)) Thalid deck thats white red green with that dragon, and double seasons. Its very nasty.

Yeah the price is way too high for a deck that I pretty much consider finished.

awesome and ridiculous. I always love fungus decks, and this one happens to be one of the best. I would suggest adding more black mana, but you probably do not need it. By the way, I would appreciate some comments o my own deck, it would be really nice.

never seen fungus... coat of arms could help it out a bit... but damn.... didnt realize how effective this could be... fungus are pretty scary, coat of arms could help though, i mean even with 10 saporlings and your probably 5 fungus' out an over run with coat of arms even if the enemy has its own tokens would take em out... but i doubt you need coat of arms when that many fucking tokens are produced...

Yeah, Coat of Arms is a card I've been meaning to get a hold of. With two different kinds of creatures in this deck, it could be very nice. I don't know what I'd take out, probably Overruns.

Hey mate, nice deck! It inspired me with a mycoloth + doubling season combo. Made this deck in a rush, calculated it to 38720 dmg+ at turn seven!!!! Check it out

why not Sporoloth Ancient ?

He's awesome, but I'd probably have to take out Savage Thallids for them and I prefer to have regeneration just in case I'm playing against something with mass destruction.

Maybe instead of 4 overrun you could do a garruk wildspeaker

That's an awesome idea. Overwhelming Stampede is another replacement for Overrun also (except I don't own either of those and both are more expensive.)

Can you use life and limb with artificial evolution to make all saps into fungus and forest additionally?

I don't think you have enough land here. And any fungus deck needs both Parallel lives and Eldrazi Monument :)
