Deck discussion for Token lifegain

Consider some white Populate cards, such as Trostani's Judgement.

This deck just screams for Intangible Virtue. Picking away at their life total with Artist and Suture Priest is great and all, but you need to get some more damage in. So I'd do one of the following:

1.)
-4 Ajani's Mantra
+4 Intangible Virtue

Quick fix. You don't need the additional life from Mantra, and Virtue turns your tokens into a formidable army that can attack and still block counterattacks. Gets in the damage you need to finish the opponent off.

2.)
Make the lifegain a wincon. Chalice of Life, Felidar Sovereign, etc. Either win from your own lifegain, or use it to throttle the opponent with a flipped Chalice. Probably:

-2 Bitterblossom
-2 Ajani's Mantra
-1 Elixir of Immortality
+4 Chalice of Life
+1 Felidar Sovereign

Something like that.

Now we're getting there! Perhaps find room for a pair or more of the land Vault of the Archangel for more lifegain potential, and if you can acquire them and squeeze them in, a couple copies of Spectral Procession and/or Promise of Bunrei for even more token generation. Not strictly necessary, but if you find yourself with a slot or two as you tweak, certainly wouldn't be a bad idea. You might even be able to twim a land (22 should be enough, I would think) and a Healer of the Pride from your current build.

Either way, looking a lot more purposeful and powerful already in my humble opinion. Nice work!

Or Rootborn Defenses, as Zero_Weaver pointed out. Very vulnerable right now to wipes, though Blood Artist alone could be a good defense against that. ;-)

Recommended sideboard (draft):

3 Rootborn Defenses
2-3 Blood Baron of Vizkopa / Divinity of Pride / Voracious Hatchling (some kind of big beater that works with lifegain)
2 Souls of the Faultless (defender with MORE lifegain/lifedrain)
2 Hide // Seek (for the Seek part, obviously)
2 Pillory of the Sleepless / One Thousand Lashes
1 Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts (she might actually work here!)
3 Beckon Apparition / Vile Rebirth (graveyard hate and more tokens!)

Ooooo, not a bad thought at all. Yeah, if you can find room, she'd be a nice addition. Probably -1 Healer of the Pride, -1 Spectral Procession for +2 Archangel of Thune.
