Thanks for the feedback. I am going to try out the grim lavamancer this weekend. Also going to try maindecking burst lightning and cyclonic rift. I prefer burst lightning and magma jet over lava spike in the main deck because I like to have options. Magma jet also help me flip the delver, which can get me more than that 1 extra damage. I am sure when I lose a game by 1 damage I will kick myself for it, but it makes sense to me. Still waiting to make a real sideboard.

Version 4.0 up and running. Some slight main deck changes (switched in magma jet for spell pierce) and a working sideboard. It is performing pretty well at the moment. I am lucky to have a friend that had a play set of blood moon that he was not using.

I just realized that those two cards could work really well together. If I read correctly, spitfire would get pumped 3 times by gelectrode, burn, gelectrode again... but I think I would have to choose to do it before the combat step?

I actually used to run Gelectrode when I first build the deck. He was a little slow to get out and easy to kill. He was very effective sometimes, but did not feel consistent enough. I still consider putting him back in sometimes, or sideboarding him.

I think I would need to modify things to make spitfire work. I currently only have 7 cards that do non-combat damage directly. The guttersnipe can do it indirectly. I do like it as a sideboard idea, if I choose to run a bunch of burn sideboard and drop the control. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. Any ideas about the sideboard? That is where I am really stuck at the moment. The deck itself works, but given that I have been playing casual I am not used to making a sideboard. I am thinking probably artifact/graveyard hate then maybe a bunch of burn so I can hit them with something a little different/faster?

First, let me say I would not like to play against this deck. Three thoughts. It might be nice to have some small creature out for blocking so you are not forced to use burn on creatures. Young Pyromancer would fit well. Second, I wonder about getting stuck with a scepter without having something to use it on. You only have 2 instants it can copy (8 total cards). Consider taking it out or adding some more low cost instants. Finally, Izzet Boilerworks is going to slow you down. Burn generally wants to be fast. You might miss an important turn.
