I've been playing different incarnations of this deck for forever. Izzet Blitz is my absolute favorite deck to run, and I always have fun with it. This is my first attempt at actually making something to be competitive in a specific format.
Obviously, you want to get your Delver out ASAP. Then once he's out and transformed, buff him with spells like Titan's Strength and Assault Strobe for some extra punch. I don't need to tell you what Lightning Bolt is for; I would just be remiss if I didn't play four of them. What you want to do with all of the scry and draw effects, is try to get either Kiln Fiend or Nivix Cyclops, along with Assault Strobe and Artful Dodge. Once one of those guys is out, you cast Assault Strobe, cast and Flashback Artful Dodge, and swing for twenty points of unblockable damage. It's worth noting that I had a lengthy internal conflict regarding whether to run Artful Dodge or Distortion Strike.The sideboard is mainly just protection. Dispel will be used to save your creatures from removal, and Twisted Image does a nice job of protecting Kiln Fiend and Nivix Cyclops from dying from damage, along with being a cantrip. However, that card is iffy. Electrolyze and Flame Slash are there to get rid of annoying things like Deathrite Shaman and other threats. Another card I tinkered with boarding is Spell Pierce, but ultimately I decided Dispel would be more helpful.
