Deck Description

Just noticed while making Tiny Leaders decks that Joraga Treespeaker n Myr Superion have amazing synergy (this was standard legal too). Did a quick search on google, didn't find much out there other than 1 piece of genius about using the Tinder Wall too. So I decided this awesome Myr whom I'd wanted to make a proper deck with for a long time now. Had tried Heartless Summoning but that seemed more suited for Myr Retriever combo decks or my own fav of Nemesis of Reason Mill decks. I think that the Tinder Wall was the final nail in the coffin, the fact that Green gets Superion out on turn 1 n Black simply can't do better than turn 2 at a -1/-1, Green is the clear choice for this aggro behemoth. Add to that cards like Rancor n Vines of Vastwood n u have a scary threat barreling down on u.

A budget version of this would opt for some cheaper dual-lands as they make up the bulk of this decks cost. Unless you go with shock-lands or some of the new dual-basic lands, u won't have any need for the Wood Elves anymore or the Primal Bellow. So those could open up the deck to more options in a budget version. Also if you cut out white spells, Sylvan Library, Worldly Tutor, n Concordant Crossroads would be your only cards over 10$ (don't get the legends version of the Crossroads as its 60$) n Heroric Intervention is the only other card over 5$. Its really the Path to Exile, Enlightened Tutors n the dual-lands that jack up the price.

The 4 Demonic n 3 Vampiric tutors listed in the side board are for the non-legacy version of the deck. They would replace Worldly n Enlightened Tutor respectively.

How to Play

Best Case
Turn 1: Land + Tinder Wall + Myr Superion

Scenario 2
Turn 1: Land + Worldly Tutor (Myr Superion or Tinder Wall if you have the othe in hand)
Turn 2: Tinder Wall + Myr Superion + Land + Rancor

Scenario 3
Turn 1: Land + Joraga Treespeaker
Turn 2: Land + Level UP + Myr Superion

As you can see, a 5/6 on turn 1 or 2, or a 7/6 trample on turn 2, either way its very scary. Most of the sideboard as well as some of the main deck is about avoiding removal and combat tricks, basically anti-control. As well as the decks has some of the nicer control options available to us to stop or remove road blocks. Phyrexian Revoker in particular was chosen or Pithing Needle do to the added search options to acquire it as it is both a creature and an artifact making Worldly n Enlightened Tutors options to find it.

Speaking of the Enlightened Tutors, they mostly are there to find our long game options in the combo of Sylvan Library n Abundance. This combo allows you to replace all your draws for the turn (u choose for each card) with a filter effect. So u wont have actually drawn any cards this turn. Sylvan Library doesn't ask you to select and put back cards from your hand, only those u've drawn this turn. So you get the 2 extra draws but replace them so u can keep the cards for free. The Tutor is also able to search for Rancor to add the smack down. It can find Elixir of Immortality when we need life or to replenish our deck or save our graveyard from removal. And it can find Concordant Crossroads to help us bounce back a bit in the later game if need or add pressure as we play a 2nd or 3rd Superion. All this is for a slower game though with more Card Advantage/Psuedo Card Advantage. More for testing the waters. Likely these are the cards you'll take out when you sideboard stuff in.

Mostly its got a very aggro combo but it relies a lot on the big bad Superion n not much else, so it doesn't have that overwhelming effect of most aggro decks. Instead u hope they was valuable weenies just to keep themselves alive cuz 4 hits or less n ur dead... that's pressure.

Lastly, Volcanic Geyser is there because if they are running some form of turbofog that doesn't rely on instants (i.e. can't be handled by Xantid Swarm) or they are casting them before combat, it would make it impossible for u to win. Hence the Geyser gives u an opportunity to use all those heaps of mana u'll have laying around in most games that go on past 7 turns, n instead just blast ur opponent in the face.
