Deck Description

It's a pretty basic, low end burn deck using standard cards. It seems to fare reasonably well so far. It has the potential for some very ruthless burn combos and they seem to go off frequently. It could use a little tweaking, so feedback is appreciated.

How to Play

The Boros Reckoner + Blasphemous Act is a no brainer. He's good to have around as a blocker and can swing through defenses even if blocked for a kill. The Guttersnipe is the real MVP of this deck though. Using him and being able to Act of Treason + Infernal Plunge into some nasty burn is just good stuff.

Deck discussion for Mono Red Facemelting Funtimes

I'm not big on Burning Tree Emissary. Just personal preference. Your deck could benefit from 2x Dual Casting.

Thank you for the feedback. I considered Dual Casting when I was building it. However, I will most likely sideboard Reverberate instead. Reverb would give me a little spell copy, plus it serves the secondary function of being able to counter counterspells. Dual Casting, to be honest, is just a bit too slow a mechanic for this deck.

I happen to like the Burning Tree because it's essentially a free creature that can serve as a blocker, or I can use it with Infernal Plunge to ramp an early big hit. I thought about putting Legion Loyalist in it's place though. It's a tough decision.

I'm pro Legion Loyalist. A 1-drop with haste is always good. A 1-drop with haste and battalion giving all your creatures first strike and trample is awesome.

On second thought Reverb is probably the way to go. Countering counterspells is beautiful and unexpected when you are running a mono-red deck.

I find burning tree to be a bit unproductive in this style of deck. Easily replace it with Vexing Devil and you'll have better turns 1-3 plays

I feel like you need some type of drawing mechanism. Do you often play out your hand? Try reforge the soul or wild guess.

How did this deck get unloved? Seems someone doesn't like having their face melted off XD
