stasis and reality strobe

I get the reality strobe / stasis combo, for bouncing islands and keeping the lock, but what about the rest? What is paradox haze for, since the only interaction with upkeep is stasis, and you don't want to pay twice for it? Also, what is copy enchantment for? Is this supposed to work in legacy? Is this a random collection of cards?
