You have a non-standard in your Sideboard FYI

Why put Go for the Throat in to make it illegal? Maybe replace with murder to legalize it?

Maybe give a look to Power Conduit then. Would be useful to have a back up in case Ion doesn't come out. Then you can beef up one and keep your others undying or maybe put some counters on your Cores.

Am I missing your artifact removal? Seems you've set this up to keep bouncing artifacts to your grave yard and back but not getting how.

Greg got my Snappy's in a trade and haven't seen em since. I can't rationalize droping $80 for em either. I do have the Jace's and they were in there but haven't been successful when I've played em.

I've been having the same thoughts on the ciphers. My main issue is mana curve. I have alot of cards I love, but it all just seems to costly especially when I want / need to keep mana back for counters.

I don't like mind crank here. Assuming this is budget, you are better off with 4 hidden strings and maybe a few counter instants.

Agreed. Maybe a mutilate here? I like Cyclonic rifts as well. Puts a nice wrench into agro decks.

If it is a true mill then think about swapping out Tormented Soul (I feel you have him in there for Cipher). There are better milling combos. Also just take 1 second to look and think about the capabilities of Essence Harvest with your Consuming Ab or Jace Phasm. 10+ life point swing or even a KO is a nice trick to have up your sleeve here.

Plus why add the Crab to make this Modern (it'll get smoked). Better chances are in standard.

Seems this is trying for budget so switch out the crabs for Shadow Alley denizen if you're going for Cipher. Add in Hands of Binding or maybe Death's Approach for removal instead of Dreadwaters.

Thought score without the threat of counter spells is pointless.

The mana curve here is also pretty scary.

In my experience Tormented Soul is easy removal and you're not playing enough ciphers to make it worth anything. I think you need to pick a strategy and go with it.

If you're running Consuming Abs, you need Wight of Precinct Six and Essence Harvest.

If you're running Cipher, add in Invisible Stalkers, a forth Jace Phasm, and maybe play around with Delvers.

Bottom line is this thing seems a bit scattered. Take a look at mine and see what you think.

thompter factory maybe? Pump out 5 artifacts quick. Also artifact lands seem an easy ad. You could get the red for about $1 a piece.

I have this deck too. it's pretty fun and quick as hell. Maybe look into Unwinding clock. Untaps your mana and Overseer.

Been playing Dimir as well. It looks like you haven't landed on a way to go yet. If you're going to run the Wights and Invisi stalkers then you're shooting for faster mill. Jace Phantasms are key in these decks, and you have only 3 ciphers which makes me wonder why you're worried about having Invisi stalker at all.

Mind Sculpt might be better than Paranoid Delusions. 7 guaranteed cards milled, more flexible on mana spent, and not dependent on stalkers.

As for the Trep blades. I tried them for a while, but they weren't really pulling their weight

Without unblockable or at least some flying creatures your paranoid delusions is going to be wasted. This seems like a budget build, so maybe change it out for a few Think Twice and some Dimir charms to give you more control.

If you're going Runechanter you'd likely want more natural flashback available and not rely solely on Snappy. Also if you're running Duskmantle Bob you likely want to at least sideboard if not get rid of Soul Ransom entirely. Maybe swap them out for an additional Visi stalker and Rune Pike.

Would be interested in seeing 4 Forbidden Alchemy in here to help ensure you get the draws you want while putting the right cards in your graveyard. Also look to put some Dimir charms in instead of Thought score. I know it costs more, but it adds utility and gives you similar results. Just some ideas I guess. Good luck.

You would be the very first person I've seen running without invisi stalkers in their cipher deck...... I mean if it works better for you then kudos. Just seems like the obvious card here.

Also, I don't see Coerced Confusion being better than Curiosity. Sure, you avoid Destroy enchantment effects. But for 1 mana drop vs 4 you get similar effects. Granted I'm not going to get 2 cards in that first round, but I'm not risking as much from a counterspell either.

Have you thought of adding a couple mirrormad phantasms?

If you are going Standard then get rid of Sun Titan.

Otherwise if you went extended there are quite a few cards that play nicely.

Also any white deck isn't complete without a full set of Oblivion Rings to deal with your opponent.

Is incinerate legal? Feel like that card keeps this from being standard.
