The massive mana pit is the commander. The deck supports him, or wins without him. I try to build decks that have everything it needs to win in any 20 cards. This deck has been a couple years in the making, and only occasionally flops. The creature centric nature of green is it's weakest point, failures tend to stem from match-ups that focus on removal.
Omnath is an optional card. The deck has the capacity to win by itself. When playing against a combo deck, play Omnath and hoard mana to win with Commander damage fast. When playing against control decks, play it cool, don't be in a hurry. Keep them on the defensive with little things, then play an X or Multi-kick spell for hundreds to win.
