Deck Description

This is a deck I made for fun around my favourite card of all time: Evershrike.

It's obviously not the best deck ever but it has a decent win rate so far.

If you wanna try it out yourself go nuts!!!

Opinions on how to improve it are always welcome :D

How to Play

How to play this is pretty straight forward.

Your optimal starting hand has 1+ evershrike,2-3 lands, a 2 mana discard outlet and 1 of your 1cmc enchants with maybe a filler removal or filler handattack.
Turn 1 you can either thoughtseize your opponent/yourself or keep mana up for removal
Turn 2 optimally you get a discard engine going. Either throw down an Oona's Prowler or an Heir of Falkenrath or do sth with Collective Brutality. you obviously discard Evershrike in all cases. The timing isn't too important here(obviously don't pitch it to your Prowler when you're about to hit someone).
Turn 3 you most of the time do nothing and on their End of Turn grab Evershrike out of the bin with a 1cmc-aura.
Turn 4+ you tend to drop 1-3 more auras on it and start swinging til they die.

Other than that:
Spiritdancer is another threat that also can keep your flow going to find Shrike/more Auras, Lili is for "symmetrical" discard and general value. Spirit Loop is in because it gives a sheer infinite amount of 4cmc 4/4 flying lifelinkers and Cartouche is in to work around Edicts in case you have only Evershrike on the board.

The sideboard things explained:
"Kataki" is against Affinity, it's an easy to play sideboard card that gets you a good chance against one of the biger archetypes.
"Pay no Heed" is for Scapeshift and Infect. It stops all damage from their Valakut or Infect dude and most importantly for the later, doesn't target since choice is made upon resolution.
"Pull from Eternity" is a boarding option against decks that run Path to Exile/Extirpate since Exiling is the only REAL way to get rid of Evershrike( It dodges most common removal like Lightning Bolt,Push,Abrupt Decay right out and most of the time also Dismember).
"Hyena Umbra" is against decks that tend to have a few boardwipes were sticking it to the board might be a bit more important to not get too far into the long game.
"Rest for the Weary" is in against Burn/ other hyper aggressive decks like Zoo. Doesn't need lots of explaining I feel.
"Mindbreak Trap" is an addition to deal better with Storm since they can kill you faster than you can kill them and it's also pretty damn hilarious.
"Fragmentize" is an additional tool to deal with Affinity but most importantly shuts down graveyard hate like Rest in Peace,Relic of Progenitus and Leyline of the Void.
