Deck Description

I present to you S.i.M.P.
A fun and explosive deck with many different threats and wincons. I've playtested and cast Emrakul as early as turn 5.

This has been a long time coming, I've been messing with r/g accel for awhile and this version seems to be the most dangerous. Plenty of threats in the deck along side the sleek mana accel. You want to get Caged Suns out as soon as possible for this deck to really take off.

Many versatile spells; use green sun's zenith early on for more mana ramp creatures, later to fetch your fatties. Metamorphs to match their threats on the cheap or boost your own, doubles as an extra caged sun. All game removal and wincon with red sun zeniths. Ancient stirrings dig for Em, Blighty, steel hellkites, caged suns, maybe wall of tanglecord if you're desperate and even land if that's what you need at the time!

Steelhellkites are pretty dangerous here because you can take out pretty much anything or pump it up to 20 damage easily.

Sideboard has some blue/black hate to prevent counterspells and removal. I took out Spawnsire of Ulamog. While being great fun, it wasn't contributing enough to the deck... though it did save my life by spawning enough blockers to save me from losing and let Emrakul swing for the win on the following turn. I have to fix up the sideboard still and remove the eldrazis.

This is not quite a representation of what I play in the real world(I don't have Omnaths yet) but it's fairly close. I got quite a few compliments on it during a mtg night at my local shop. One opponent was glad to have lost to a fairly cheap deck after getting his butt kicked around by caw blades all night. Another, the winner of the night, liked the variety and ability to deal with many situations. I will continue playing this deck because it's my baby and I love it!

Deck discussion for Sunshine in My Pocket

I realize the name of the deck is totally lame, but I wanted a fun acronym and it revolves around "sun" based cards, lol.

Tweaked it up a bit more. Still has lots of fun wincons. This thing has incredible mana, enough to do whatever the hell you want.

Such a versatile deck that is so adaptable to many of the popular archetypes, I think that Lotus Cobras (I don't know what type of budget your on) could definitley guide this deck through tournaments as a wild card archetype! One budget improvement I would preform is Omnath, Locus of Mana. It would definitley be an interesting inclusion and really fun, for example; you get Omnath out and ramp for a while, every turn using the mana you didn't use or don't plan to for Omanth, and soon enough you'll have more mana in your pool than you know what to do with. Very nice deck though, and I think that it definitley could go competitive.

I do have a single copy of Lotus Cobra in my possession but I removed it from this deck. I have thought of Omnath as well, and he might be better suited than some of my other early drops. I found I had trouble building my explosive mana base against aggressive decks such as mono green poison. He might be the edge I need.

If I have spare cash coming up over the summer I will try to snag a few more cobras. Omnath is cheap enough to pick up a few soon. Thanks for checkin this out.
