I've always wondered how one can win with Near-Death Experience.

This is certainly an interesting way. The way the life is paid is a good way to get to 1 at the end of your last opponents turn. The only thing that you're missing is something to defend Near Death Experience.

I can't think of anything except Privileged Position (which is around $10/copy) right now, so that's my only suggestion.

In short, if you can find a way to protect Near-Death Experience, please add it.

worship would be a great add to combo with it

I can just think of someone waiting until you get to 1 hp and destroy Near-Death Experience, kind of risky.

What about using "Angel's Grace" to make sure the opponent don't just use an instant to take you down before "Near-Death Experience" will activate??

I was trying to keep the "under 10 dollars" gimmick, otherwise I'd definitely add some.

i dont like this kind of decks... the only win condition for me is 0 life win.... but since the wizard of the coast guys are without imagination these days lets try to help.

Holy day would be nice when your life is low and at risk. WORSHIP even better :)

Near Death plus Wall of Blood equals CRAP. Insta-win if the thing lasts a cycle before your opponent realizes what you're doing.

The point of all the life loss is that it can be done at instant speed, meaning that you do it at the end of your opponent's turn so that you don't have to deal with a combat when at 1 life.

exactly. It rocks and you're brilliant.

you could always use phyrexian unlife, and a card for T: Gain 1 life, like chalice of life or something to that extent just in case someone does decide a quick gut shot would be funny...
also, you could use either leyline of sanctity or witchbane orb for the hexproof to prevent the burn...

Have you considered "Sundial of the Infinite"?
This could be a way to stop your opponent doing anything, from bouncing/removal/beating face etc.

Any chance you could take a look at my deck, maybe suggest some improvement?
