This is an homage deck to the very first magic deck I ever owned. It was a blue control deck built for me by the LGS owner where the win con was a playset of Mahamoti Djinn. Before that deck I just borrowed decks from friends. I remember how great it was to have "my own" deck, and it did pretty well back in the day. The gatherer site claims Mahamoti was released in the Origins core set, so he should be standard legal, but the vault is only showing him in the 2015 set. He's only sideboard for now, maybe he main boards over the riverwheels.
"Bottle up" your opponent's threats with your enchantments until you have enough land to let your genies out of their bottles. Displacement Wave can slow down aggro/token decks. As a bonus you get back your own enchantments rather than losing them if you kick back something you've enchanted already. Taigam's Strike and Ojutai's Breath are intended to feed the Prowess abilities thanks to the Rebound feature. Anticipate to help you dig to what you need.
