A swing at a Battlefield Thaumaturge deck for modern. I've been tinkering with him for standard, thought I'd see what opened up for possibilities with modern.
Thaumaturge make Strength of the Tajuru have a free multikicker and the mystic and follower give some mana ramp to make that be a lot of counters on everyone. Hero of Leina Tower gives another way to spend that excess mana. War-Wing Siren because fatty flyers rule. Thrive is pay 1 green put a counter on everybody and trip their heroic. Triton Tactics is a cheap way to protect the Thaumaturge, hit two heroics if you don't have Thaumaturge out yet, or untap a follower to tap him again for more mana. Ordeal of Thassa to help get to Thaumaturge. Solidarity of Heroes to just turn the volume up to 11 after creatures are countered up.
