Deck Description

Saw Chasm Skulker, thought of Lorescale Coatl and made a deck. . .
NOTE: The sb IS NOT just a sb, there is a bunch of mayboard options that i tried but couldn't fit in.
BEST CARDS:
Chasm Skulker: cause you can draw 1 to 6 cards a turn, he makes 80 dudes when he dies AND people will waste removal on him.
Lorescale Coatl: cause you draw cards, A TON OF CARDS!
Horizon Chimera: you do really bad against aggro and this thing helps you out.

How to Play

Elvish Visionary or ideally Vedalken Heretic is how you start a game, Favor of the Overbeing is here to be attached to your heretic and let him through, Nulltread Gargantuan is also a great turn 3 or 4 play targeting Wistful Selkie or Elvish Visionary.
Now, aggro ABSOLUTELY WRECKS YOUR DAY so you really need Nulltread Gargantuan, strong and healthy Lorescale Coatl and Chasm Skulker and one or two Horizon Chimera, if you don't get Nulltread Gargantuan and they can kill you before turn 6 you loose, if not you have an 80/80 on the board. Against any slow strategy Vedalken Heretic and Nulltread Gargantuan become 20 times better, they can be insanely powerful and backbreaking. Side in Sturmgeist and Shielding Plax or Snake Umbra and they will have really bad time.

My budget decks are supposed to let you have fun! Which is what i think MtG should be about, i try to make these decks as competitive as possible while still leting you to have a blast while playing them. If you can make your friends to spend around 50$ you could buy 2-4(some of my decks are under 10$) of my decks and make the experience even richer! Also don't just copy the whole deck(you can, but if you can improve something DO IT!), if you have a better idea pls let me know, i can't always make the perfect deck and sideboard. Again GL and HF!

Bounce cards like unsummon, void snare, etc. Gitaxian Probe as another draw card.

I try to keep my budget decks under 25$, this one is 27 even without Gitaxian Probe.
Bounce you say, into the void seems as a good idea to me, i'll side it along with claustrophobia. Thanks!

Add a few Life's Legacy's into this deck. Have a few Chasm Skulkers out say one is a 7/7 you sacrifice it, draw 7 cards, put 7 tokens onto the battle field and you're other Chasm Skulkers get +7+7 all for 2 mana

I love it.

I normally do pretty good against aggro, but not as good against control. My Chasm Skulkers never see more than one turn. Drown in Sorrow is right now my main weakness as it just obliterates my creatures when they are just in the early stages of being casted.

Favor of the Overbeing always comes in to save the day and is the most hated card in my deck by the people against me. I haven't seen much play for Bident of Thassa's or Vedalken Heretic's draw card abilities against my mates as they normally have a 1/1 in play turn one, and by the time I play Bident of Thassa, my creatures can get blocked or they are massive so they don't make that much difference. I like the second ability of Bident of Thassa though, creating a path for my massive creatures to attack and/or destroying some enemy creatures.

I feel I could do better with some counters and bouncing creatures to hand as well as some temporary buffs for my creatures to make them survive the first turns while they gain momentum.

This is of course my personal situation. What do you think? :)

WHY DIDN'T I SB ANY COUNTERSPELLS?????? WHY????? I mean i was kind of drunk when i made this but WHY???
Ok i've calmed down, here is my advice:
Cut 1 bident, sb 4 counterspells of any kind, maybe even cut all the bidents and run some counterspells instead. If you want buffs, cards like spider of el umbra may do great.
Also here is how i would do the sb:
3 Into the Void
(This depends on how many counterspells you decide to main deck) 2 or 3 mana leaks or any other counter that is 3 or less mana
1 Nulltread Gargantuan
4 Shielding Plax
4 spider or el umbra

Thanks for telling me how it went, i really appreciate it.

How about this? http://www.mtgvault.com/fruki/decks/budget-gu-card-draw/

It's a bit more risky because I have 7 less creatures, but I can counter stuff and protect the other creatures I play. I wasn't able to use 3 Into the Void, I don't think I needed it though.

I just played a game and I can't make anything last one turn, I was obliterated in turn 7. That's why the heavy use of counters and protection.
