Deck Description

Well, since I love the graveyard and Skaab Ruinator I'll just give em another deck. And I think this the best kaab Ruinator Deck you can build.

Shit worth talking about:
Skaab Ruinator: It's a budget goyf that flies and has to eat a path to exile or it will auto win the game. Also did I mention that Ideas Unbound allows you to get him ON CURVE! When have you last seen an on curve goyf? And how big was it?

Risen Executioner: it's pretty much the same as Skaab Ruinator except that it's a lord and it might be harder to cast. But it's still a very solid turn 4 play that can make that 2/1 and 1/4 actually threatening. Also, if it eats a bolt early on you might be able to cast it for 4 or 5, if it eats a bolt late game you'll cast it for 4 ALL THE TIME.

Tombstalker: It's like having 2 more Ruinators, except these ones are only 5/5s, but what do you want for 2 mana? They also exile lands so that's nice too.

Misthollow Griffin: discard, exile, play, make die, exile, play and repeat. Another strength of this card is how it beats rest in peace and leyline of the void. Sure, it still dies to a bolt but it comes back cuz it gets exiled instead of going to the grave.

Shriekmaw: It's removal that gets exiled with Skaab Ruinator and has a 3/2 body when you need it.

Ideas Unbound: it's draw 6....for 2 mana.....

How to Play

You want to mill 3 creatures and get a Skaab Ruinator out, then you swing in the air till they die.Stinkweed Imp is an amazing blocker that also dredges for 5 and gives you 3 dudes to exile GRANTED. Misthollow Griffin is value, makes Ruinator soooo much better.
The one problem are cards that exile Skaab Ruinator and cards that won't allow you to play it.That is where Civilized Scholar and Tombstalker come in and win the game. The next problem is Lingering Souls, yeah.....it stalls Ruinator by 4 turns, that's why we run Illness in the Ranks and lots of small dudes, cuz this card just destroys your gameplan.

My budget decks are supposed to let you have fun! Which is what i think MtG should be about, i try to make these decks as competitive as possible while still leting you to have a blast while playing them. If you can make your friends to spend around 50$ you could buy 2-4(some of my decks are under 10$) of my decks and make the experience even richer! Also don't just copy the whole deck(you can, but if you can improve something DO IT!), if you have a better idea pls let me know, i can't always make the perfect deck and sideboard. Again GL and HF!

Deck discussion for Budget Skaab Ruinator Deck

This is the closest thing to being a competitve budget modern deck ive seen in a while. And as its playing blue it should have annul in the SB though, to stop RIp.

Another good deck swarmer! Your one of the most underrated deck builders on here!

Thank you so mcuh! Those words mean a lot to me, I'm happy to know that people still look at my decks, even if it's just 2 ppl. The annul is a great upgrade, thanks for that as well. I'm considering building this deck, originally I wanted to build http://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/budgetish-worm-harvest/ but I'm missing something, it doesn't seem good enough and I don't know what to add. Any ideas on the worm harvest deck?
