This turned out well I think.Pox is pox; you use all your resources to deplete all of your opponent's resources and then you draw Dark Rituals and you die. Except that is not the case anymore. Karn, Urza's Saga, and the artifacts they can tutor up mean that low-resource games are no longer just topdeck wars but rather slow marches towards our inevitable victory.NOTES:A lot, and I do mean a lot of the deckbuilding choices made are entirely meta-dependent. - The number of Sheoldred's Edicts, Innocent Bloods, Hymns, and Pithing Needles.- The inclusion of Cursed Scroll and Nether Spirit - Night of Souls' Betrayal in lieu of Plague Engineer PS: Replace Sorin with a Nether Void if you happen to have an organ or a relative you don't need.PPS: Sideboard should have 1-2x Chains of Mephistopheles
You first don't die. This is achieved by ripping apart your opponent's hopes and dreams, thus fulfilling yours. Once the game has slowed down enough to make you worry as to whether you'll be able to finish the round in time, you can either start pulling slowly ahead or simply making sure your opponent can't really play for the next 8 turns while you dome them for 2 with whatever you stumbled across. It can seem that durdling around with 3/3s for 2 from saga, or spending 2 to loot with Converter or make a 1/1 with Foundry is like masturbating with an oven mitt, but you'd be surprised how badly most decks react to lines such as Thoughtseize -> Hymn -> Smallpox, or a Turn 1 Liliana.Pulling ahead: Castle Locthwain, Saga tokens, Currency Converter, Retrofitter Foundry, planeswalker abilities.Paralyzing your opponent: Karn + Mycosynth Lattice (or Liquimetal Coating for a couple turns), Liliana's ultimate, Wasteland + Crucible of Worlds, Ensnaring Bridge.
